About the Trust for the National Mall

The Trust for the National Mall was founded in 2007 as an official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service. The Trust stewards private support to design and deliver modern and resilient solutions that will transform the visitor experience and preserve the historic legacy of the National Mall. We strongly believe that the National Mall should reflect our country's highest values, and in order to do so successfully, must be maintained to the highest of standards.

The Trust for the National Mall represents a critical public-private partnership in the history of the National Park Service and is responsible for bringing the National Mall Plan to life. The plan was approved by the Park Service in 2010 and contains a comprehensive blueprint and detailed action plan to enhance the National Mall's beauty, usefulness, and sustainability.
